Formula 1 and the Feeder Series may have been on a summer break in the month of August – but the rest of the motorsport world wasn’t. Women in Motorsport across the spectrum continued to step up to the plate and impress across a vast array of categories. From Endurance Racing to Rallying and European Formula 4 Championships and much more besides, there was plenty of racing action to keep your eyes on. Let’s take a look then at the women in motorsport who stood out the most over the month of August.

Anna Cecchi
Following an agonizingly long gap between rounds, the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America returned for its penultimate round of the 2026 season at Road America. With testing, practice and qualifying done, where she qualified in Pole Position in the latter of those, Anna Cecchi laid down the gauntlet immediately when the first of the weekend’s two races got underway.
Anna won that first race at Road America which she then doubled down on by winning the more chaotic and caution filled second race of the weekend the next day. With a dominant win on Saturday and a cool head prevailing to help her take the win on Sunday, Anna put herself in the best position possible as the series now looks ahead to its final round of the year where Anna could become Champion.
Jodie Sloss
Over the first weekend of August, the FFSA GT4 France went racing at Magny Cours with Jodie Sloss in attendance. The Scottish driver hit the ground running as she jumped into a new car for the weekend, winning the first of the two races held at the circuit. Sharing racing duties with David Levy, the pair went on to finish in second place in the final race of the weekend. Such a consistent and strong pair of back-to-back results for Sloss was a perfect demonstration of what she’s capable of and is yet another advertisement of what she can deliver for a team willing to give her a seat in Endurance Racing.
Martina Bertelegni
Following her third victory of the 2026 season back in June, Martina Bertelgni took things up a notch by becoming the 2026 Rally5 Campianto Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco Champion alongside Davide Nicelli Jr.
The achievement seals an already impressive season for the Italian and has the potential to open up a number of pathways in the off-road and rally worlds for not only the rest of the year but in 2027 too.
Paige Raddatz
Taking a detour from the Kyojo Cup between rounds, Paige Raddatz returned to the MX5 Cup in August competing at One Raceway in New South Wales. It’s fair to say that the Australian driver took the weekend by storm.

After qualifying in pole position, Paige proceeded to make it a clean sweep across the race weekend, winning all three races and even setting a new lap record in the process. It was a performance nothing short of domination and impressiveness and will hopefully make a few teams not only in Australia but around the world sit up and take notice.
Anastasia Gerasis
Down in South Africa, Anastasia Gerasis made history as she became the first woman to stand on the podium in the MSA4 Championship – the country’s single seater series – at the Aldo Scribante Racetrack. What’s more, Anastasia got to share the podium with her teammate too, making it an extra special occasion for both her and the team.
Sarah Bernand
Competing in the Championnat de France de la Montagne 2ème Division, Sarah Bernard not only won the Championship overall in August, but she became the first woman in forty-two years to do so. It’s an incredible achievement and one that she’s been working towards for her entire motorsport career. Having followed in her father’s footsteps to step into not only single seater racing but to do so for Hill Climb Championships makes the achievement even more memorable and special for Sarah too.
With so much focus on when we may see the next female driver in the likes of Formula 3, Formula 2 and beyond, Sarah is proof that female talent has what it takes to perform and succeed in the machinery and to do so across difficult and technical terrain. The excuses for teams not to do more of this are fast running out.
Notable Mentions
Amber Balcaen
We all love a good motorsport story and this month, Amber Balcaen didn’t give us a good one, she gave us a brilliant one. Having not raced for a year, Amber travelled to Peterborough Speedway in Canada to compete in the Ontario Sportsman Series.
Having spent so much time out of the car since her last race, dreams were big but reality was expected to get in the way. In the end, they met halfway. Amber put in an outstanding qualifying performance to take Pole Position! But the series then decided that they would be organising the starting grid by Championship position instead. As a result, Amber had to start from the back of the grid.
But this didn’t stop the fierce Canadian driver from doing what she does best as she carved her way through the field on what can only be described as an epic charge. A time curfew then interfered in her progress up the order and the race was stopped 50 laps into the 100 lap race. Amber was already up to fifth by this time though. Surely victory would have been flirted with had the race gone the full distance.
Despite these frustrations, Amber immediately proved that she’s earned her spot on the grid and should have never have had to leave to begin with. Her last scheduled appearance for this year will be at the Kansas Speedway on September 25th.
Michalina Sabaj
Over in the Czech Formula 4 Championship, mixed conditions sprinkled themselves over the race weekend held at the Autodrom Most in the North West of the Czech Republic. Michalina Sabaj rose to the challenge though, getting onto the podium four times across the Rookie Classification and the Ladies Championship. Each achievement was a step in the right direction for the young Polish driver as she continues to build the foundations of her motorsport career in single seater racing.
Autumn Fisher
The young Canadian driver has been competing in French Formula 4 in 2026. At the latest round of the Championship held at Magny-Cours, Autumn managed to turn around what looked like it was going to be bad weekend thanks to an engine failure. She instead ended the round with a first win of the season in the female class of the Championship. More proof that it’s not about how you start, it’s about how you finish.
Alana Carter & Sydney Cassels
As IndyCar was making its debut in Markham in Canada, so too was the Radical Cup Canada Series. Competing on that weekend were teammates Alana Carter and Sydney Cassels. Both made history that weekend for women in motorsport.
In the first race, Sydney became the first woman ever to podium in Radical Cup Canada and then in the second race, Alana became the first woman ever to lead laps in the series.
Just like that over one weekend, a single team with two female drivers made history with two firsts for women in motorsport. Pretty chic if you ask us.
